Coming to terms on the price of your home is only the first step is the completion of the transaction. The selection of the right lawyer will help significantly in bringing the sale to a successful conclusion.
In this active market, many buyers are viewing multiple properties and are making offers for more than one property at a time. Therefore, once you receive an acceptable offer, time is critical. It is clearly in your interest to get the contract signed before you lose the potential buyer. The law firm you select should be able quickly to get the contract to the buyer and then rapidly conclude negotiations.
One more point: If the contract is not carefully drafted, even minor problems could jeopardize the successful conclusion of the sale A well-drawn contract will anticipate most problems, spell out their consequences and usually prevent them from spiraling out of control.
